Autumn time is pumpkin time. How about a delicious pumpkin bread? With this delicious recipe you can easily prepare it yourself!

The pumpkin season begins in August and ends around mid-November. Especially in October, when the pumpkin has reached its peak, you can read and see pumpkin recipes everywhere. That’s why I don’t want to withhold this delicious pumpkin bread recipe from you.

Tip: Pumpkin bread tastes best when it’s fresh out of the oven and still slightly warm. You can fill it in different ways. Whether it’s the classic way with butter and salt or with jam and quark! The imagination knows no limits.

Autumn time is pumpkin time. Try this delicious pumpkin bread recipe
Prep Time 15 minutes
Cook Time 1 hour
Total Time 1 hour 15 minutes
Servings 4 people

Ingredients
  

  • 200 g Hokkaido pumpkin
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 300 g wholemeal flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1 packet of dry yeast
  • 100 g of rolled oats
  • 40 g of yeast
  • 10 g sesame
  • 20 g of sourdough
  • ca. 300 ml approx. 300 ml warm water

Instructions
 

  • First you cut the pumpkin into large pieces and let it cook in a water bath for about 10 minutes until it is nice and soft.
  • Then puree it with the hand blender to create a creamy mass.
  • In the meantime you mix the dough. Here you put flour, sugar, yeast, salt, olive oil and vinegar in a mixing bowl and mix everything vigorously.
  • Then add the warm pumpkin puree with about 3 tablespoons of water.
  • Now let the dough rise for at least 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  • If you want, you can shape a pumpkin look. To do this, you have to roll out the dough into a ball and shape it into a pumpkin with twine or kitchen twine.
  • Tip: You are welcome to add extra grains or pumpkin seeds to the bread.
  • Bake in the oven at 200 degrees for 1 hour.
